Strategies & Tools

If you think you might want to go on to post-secondary education at a community college, private vocational college, university or through an apprenticeship, then you will need to use your time wisely to prepare academically and socially for your future.

Over the course of the YOU CAN GO workshops and in one-on-one advising sessions, you will be provided with strategies, tools and information about resources to help guide your decisions and post-secondary choices.

In addition to these, an important step is taking the time for reflection. Take the time to think about what you want your future to look like. What do you like to do most? How would you describe your strengths? Many of the activities that you participate in regularly and the daily experiences you take for granted, may be helping you to develop skills, skills that could be transferable to the job market or prepare you for post-secondary studies.
