An Assortment of Workshops
All participating YMCA Associations offer a range of workshops for youth ages 14-20 as well as adults looking to return
to school. Workshops are also available for parents and guardians, teachers and guidance counsellors who are looking for
information to assist their student(s) in making choices about post-secondary programs and other life decisions.
Workshops are tailored for different age groups and may cover topics such as:
- Introduction to post-secondary studies
- Exploring your future
- Making the most of high school
- Choosing your post-secondary program
- Life as a post-secondary student
- Financing post-secondary studies
- Transition to a post-secondary program.
Interactive
All the workshops are interactive. They are from 1-2 hours long depending on the workshop. You may opt to take one workshop
or sign up for a series. Refreshments will be provided.
You do not need to prepare for the workshops. Handout materials and other information resources you may find useful will
be provided.
Check back on the YOU CAN GO site often for announcements of new workshops and services and additional YMCA service
sites. Some YMCA locations will be offering campus visits and guest speaker programs beginning in 2009. So keep in touch!
